Deep Cleaning

Technical term from the TOP GREEN Artificial Grass Glossary – clearly explained based on over 25 years of experience.

Briefly explained

Deep cleaning is a mechanical thorough cleaning of artificial grass, during which the infill is also loosened, cleaned, and reintroduced.

During deep cleaning, more than just the surface is cleaned. Specialized machines loosen the infill, collect it, separate dirt, fine particles, and foreign objects, and then reintroduce the cleaned material.

When Deep Cleaning is Recommended

  • For compacted, hardened surfaces
  • For moss and algae or odors
  • On sports fields as part of regular maintenance
  • For dog areas and playgrounds for hygienic reasons

Result

The blades stand upright again, water permeability improves, and the surface looks like new. Learn more about the process under Artificial Grass Cleaning.
