Leaf blower

Technical term from the TOP GREEN Artificial Grass Glossary – clearly explained based on over 25 years of experience.

Briefly explained

A leaf blower is the most practical tool for regular artificial turf maintenance. It removes leaves, blossoms, and coarse dirt without damaging the blades.

Leaves left on artificial turf decompose between the blades and create a breeding ground for moss and algae. A leaf blower removes them quickly and gently.

Tips for use

  • Work in dry weather – wet leaves stick more firmly
  • Blow the leaves into a corner and collect them there
  • With sand-infilled artificial turf, do not get too close to the surface to avoid blowing out infill
  • In autumn, it is better to do it more often and briefly than rarely and for a long time

A power brush is also suitable for lifting the blades. You can find the complete care plan in the guide Cleaning artificial turf.
