Polypropylene (PP) is a lightweight, dimensionally stable plastic. In artificial turf, it is mainly used in the backing and for the crimped thatch.
Properties
- dimensionally stable and cost-effective
- slightly stiffer than polyethylene
- as the sole fibre material, it is only common in simple, low-cost turf
With very inexpensive artificial turf made entirely of PP, you should pay attention to UV stability and the warranty.
