TOP GREEN Artificial Grass ProfessionalArtificial Grass Glossary

Sand Area Cleaning

Technical term from the TOP GREEN Artificial Grass Glossary – clearly explained based on over 25 years of experience.

Briefly explained

Sand area cleaning removes glass, stones, and other foreign objects from play sand and sports sand – mechanically and to a greater depth.

Sand areas in playgrounds, long jump pits, or beach volleyball courts accumulate glass shards, stones, cigarette butts, and organic contaminants over time. Sand area cleaning eliminates these hazards.

How We Clean

Specialized machines collect the sand, sift out foreign objects, and return the cleaned sand. Our process cleans to a depth of 40 cm. Additionally, the sand is loosened and aerated.

Why Regular Cleaning?

  • reduced risk of injury for children and athletes
  • improved hygiene
  • loosened sand cushions falls better – important for fall protection
