Artificial grass broom

Technical term from the TOP GREEN Artificial Grass Glossary – clearly explained based on over 25 years of experience.

Briefly explained

An artificial grass broom is a broom with plastic bristles used to lift the blades and loosen dirt from the pile.

The artificial grass broom is the most important maintenance tool for private artificial grass areas. It has medium-stiff plastic bristles that lift the fibres without damaging them.

What to look for

  • Plastic bristles instead of metal
  • Sufficiently wide head for larger areas
  • Sturdy handle for working against the grain

How to use it correctly

In dry weather, brush against the direction of the fibres and work across the area in strips. For large areas, there is the brushing machine. All tips can be found in the guide Brushing artificial grass.
