Multi-sport court

Technical term from the TOP GREEN Artificial Grass Glossary – clearly explained based on over 25 years of experience.

Briefly explained

A multi-sport court is a compact, usually fenced playing area for several sports—such as football, basketball and volleyball—often with artificial turf or a sports surface.

Multi-sport courts (also known as multi-purpose courts, soccer courts or kickabout pitches) offer space for various ball sports in a small area. Typical features include rebound boards or ball-stop fencing, small goals and basketball hoops.

Surfaces

  • Artificial turf – especially for football
  • Polyurethane sports surface – for basketball and versatile use
  • Impact-absorbing surfaces in combination with play equipment

Maintenance

Multi-sport courts are used intensively, often at schools and in residential areas as well. Regular cleaning and brushing prevents compaction, slip hazards and soiling. We clean artificial turf and sports surfaces nationwide.
