The plastic blades are stitched into this fabric through a process called tufting. It usually consists of one or two layers of polypropylene fabric.  <\/p>\n<h2>Why Backing Matters<\/h2>\n<p>A high-quality backing ensures that the artificial turf barely expands or contracts with temperature fluctuations. This prevents wrinkling and open seams.
