This removed soil is referred to as <strong>spoil<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h2>How Deep and How Much?<\/h2>\n<p>For a garden sub-base, approximately 8\u201312 cm are usually excavated. For 50 m\u00b2 at a depth of 10 cm, this calculates to 5 m\u00b3 of soil.
