It can absorb moisture and odour-causing substances such as ammonia. That is why it is used as a special <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/infill-filling-material\/\">infill<\/a> for artificial grass areas where pets spend time.  <\/p>\n<h2>Application and effect<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>is lightly sprinkled into the pile and brushed in<\/li>\n<li>binds odours from urine before they settle in<\/li>\n<li>can be partially regenerated by rain or rinsing, but needs topping up occasionally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Good to know<\/h2>\n<p>Zeolite is not a substitute for a permeable base structure or regular cleaning.
