This should be distinguished from <strong>total weight<\/strong>, which also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/backing-backing-fabric\/\">backing<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/backing-coating\/\">back coating<\/a>. <\/p>\n<h2>What pile weight indicates<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>More fibre material usually means a denser, more hard-wearing lawn.<\/li>\n<li>With the same <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/pile-height\/\">pile height<\/a>, products can be compared well.<\/li>\n<li>However, a high weight alone does not guarantee quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Always consider pile weight together with <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/stitch-density\/\">stitch density<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/dtex\/\">Dtex<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/topgreen.de\/en\/lexikon\/fiber-shape\/\">fibre shape<\/a>.
